Rates vary and are dependent on several factors, including:  length of performance, number of sets, total amount of time at event, costume changes, location, date, any applicable travel expenses, and number of dancers.  Typical scenarios are "packaged" below; however, we can tailor a performance and/or instruction specifically for your event. Prices subject to change, especially on a holiday.  Please inquire about rates for popular holidays such as New Years Eve.

Packages Available

Party Gram (aka Belly Gram)
A solo dancer performs a 5 minute piece at your party or event.  Great for any event, and commonly used as a "surprise" during birthday gatherings. Please remember you are hiring a dancer... you should not expect shtick or gimmicks like rubber snakes or joke swords.  Photo opportunities with your guests and/or guest of honor with the belly dancer after the 5 minute performance....$125.

Ladies Dance Party
Very popular for bachelorette parties, wedding or baby showers.  Includes a five minute performance followed by a fun dance lesson for your guests.  The length of the lesson can be tailored for your event; however, the suggested time is 30 minutes.  Pricing starts at $175.

Performance - Solo
A solo dancer performs a 10-15 minute set which includes time (optionally) to engage your guests in the fun by getting them up to dance at the end of the performance.  The set may include props such as sword, finger cymbals, cane, or veil....$175.  Additional set with costume change performed within the same hour (typically 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first set) available for an additional fee of $50.

Performance - Group
Perfect for larger parties, corporate events and weddings!  A group of dancers has a larger visual impact and adds variety and excitement.  A 15-20 minute set is common and may include both solo and group choreographed numbers as well as optional audience participation... $150 per dancer.  A second set, with costume change, within the same hour (typically 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first set) available for an additional fee of $50 per dancer.

Hourly Rate
Hiring a dancer by the hour provides greater flexibility in arranging your entertainment.  For example, a themed party may want one or more dancers as "atmosphere" during the event, with one or two short performances during the hour.  $300

Stacey is Level III certified in the Suhaila Salimpour format and has over 13 years of belly dance performance experience.  Half day, full day or weekend workshops available.  Please contact Stacey regarding current workshop titles.

What to Do and What to Expect When Hiring a Belly Dancer...

Dance Area
Provide the dancer a clean and well-defined area in which to perform, preferably at least 6 by 4 feet. If more than one dancer is performing, a raised stage or bigger dance area gives the audience a better view. 

Dressing Area
A private and secure dressing area is required to change in and out of costumes and store belongings. 

Stereo System
A quality stereo system with a CD player will enhance the music and performance significantly. Logistically, it is best if the stereo and speakers are in the same room as the performance.

Showing Appreciation
Clapping with the music, watching attentively and encouraging your guests to do the same will make the evening more memorable. If guests wish to tip the dancer, showering her with bills is infinitely more authentic and dignified than stuffing money into her costume.

Respect the Schedule
Be considerate of the dancers’ time, as they may have another engagement on the same night. The show should begin within 15 minutes of the originally scheduled time. Every additional 15 minutes over the scheduled start time adds $25 to the rate.  If you need more flexibility, inquire about "schedule insurance" so that you don't have to watch the clock.

Enjoy the Show
Once the show begins, sit back, relax and enjoy! If it is appropriate and the dancer chooses to do so, she will select someone to dance with her. Please do not urge anyone to dance with her if they have not been invited. If the performance is in honor of a special person, point out the special guest to the dancer before the performance.

Family Friendly
Stacey provides time-honored, family friendly entertainment.  Recommended occasions for hiring a dancer/dancers are dinner soirees, bridal showers, holiday, birthday and themed parties, nightclub and theater shows, weddings, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, festivals, fundraisers and corporate events. Stacey does not perform at bachelor parties, or any other all-male attended event.
