Bellydance (aka Oriental
Dance, Middle Eastern Dance, or Raks Sharqi) is studied, practiced and
performed throughout the world. It is a beautiful dance form that
expresses both the instrumentation and the emotion of Middle Eastern
based music. A dancer's performance incorporates her/his own
personality, emotion, dance technique, muscular isolation and grace (and
sometimes props or finger cymbals) to create a unique performance.
Stacey is a professional belly dancer Level 4 certified in the Suhaila
Salimpour format and currently located in Austin,
Texas. She is available for performances and workshops, and offers
weekly classes at two locations in South Austin.
